In order for a woman to be nominated as a woman of Distinction, she must demonstrate high ethical standards personally, she must be recognized as a role model, she must have a strong sense of community responsibility, and she must have made outstanding contributions within Martin County.
There are four categories in which a woman can be nominated for Women of Distinction and they include: Business/Professional, Civic/Professional, Volunteer, and Rising Star. Attorney Lauri J. Goldstein was nominated under the business category. Women who are nominated for the business category must be either self-employed or employed by a for-profit business or corporation. The nominees for this category must also be recognized for their outstanding service in their field and significant contributions to the community through their profession.
