April 10, 2012 - PRLog -- The nation's leading provider of college recruiting and scholarship technology takes another step to simplify and streamline a life changing process.  NCSA Athletic Recruiting, the most trusted source of online recruiting information for more than 42,000 college coaches and 800,000 prospects since 2000, recently launched version 3.0 of its "Recruit Match System" which is widely considered the premier tool for athletes and coaches.  Through a high tech and high touch approach, NCSA has helped more than 50,000 athletes commit to college who have saved more than $2 billion in financial assistance.  Version 3.0 should only help more athletes with its newest improvements.

The updated Recruit Match System (RMS) is responsive for mobile platforms including iPhone, Android, and iPad, meaning student-athletes can update and check their profiles in real time.

“The new Recruit Match System has been rebuilt from the ground up using the latest technologies and techniques that are being used by companies like Groupon, Twitter, and Google," said Chris Hein, Director of Software Development at NCSA. "The site has been constructed with reliability, elegance, and simplicity at the forefront to make the recruiting process easier than ever."

Ruby on Rails, HTML 5, CSS3 and Backbone.js were used through the new RMS and the application has more than 90% code coverage with automated tests.
