Advantech Introduces New Automation Control Panels with Communication and Field-bus Capabilities

April 10, 2012 - PRLog -- These panels offer greater expansion capabilities as well as expanded DI/DO and field-bus control support.  Each model uses a fanless low power consuming Intel® Atom™ 1.8GHz processor with 4GB RAM, making them ideal for a range of machine and factory automation applications.

These panels feature a PCI-e and Mini PCIe expansion slot which supports four control protocols (Profibus, PROFINET, EtherCAT, and Powerlink).  With this feature, users can connect with PLCs, such as Advantech’s APAX line, for further control and monitoring ease as well as supporting the WSN (Wireless Sensing Network).  In addition, these panels (except 6” version) are integrated with eight isolated DI/DO ports which help to connect with sensor devices for alarm function/event trigger at industrial environments.

To ensure that the TPC can operate properly without data loss, there is RTC battery backup for real-time data management in case of accidental power failure.  By combining an external antenna and communication modules, such as Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth, these panels have excellent wireless performance.  Each supports Microsoft® Windows® 7/XP/WES and WEC
