L.A. Based Filmmaker Eddie Beasley Returns Home to Mississippi for the Crossroads Film Festival

April 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Eddie, along with his wife Ashleigh Nichols, wrote and produced the horror-comedy short film Summer of the Zombies, which will be featured Saturday night at the festival. When asked about returning to Mississippi and sharing his project with his home state, Eddie said, “As an alumnus of the film department at USM and a Laurel, MS native, it means a lot to me to be able to come back home with a film I am very proud of to screen at the Crossroads Film Festival.”

A freshly turned zombie struggles to navigate the land of the undead, Summer of the Zombies is a dark, horror comedy (a ZOMEDY if you will) that tells an original story through the eyes of its zombie main character. The film is unique in its limited dialogue and dependence upon visual storytelling.
