Guests toured the office and delighted in meeting participating artists and viewing the artwork on display. Artists present included Patricia Reagan, Horst Mueller, Jane “Ejan” Blatt, Helen Kagan, Christine and Bernie Trevethan and Carol Kepp. Artwork by these artists and other registered artists are currently on display and for sale in the new office. Proceeds benefit both the artists and community improvement through Artists for a Cause.
Many people and businesses contributed food, wine and beverages for the opening. Sponsors and donors included: Nis-Air, Peter Perry, Chef Melissa Major, Larry Tadross, Robin Hicks-Connors, Toni Lemoine, and Southern Pride Gourmet Foods.
Terry Barber warmly thanked everyone for attending and their support of the budding organization. Terry noted that , “Right now, Artists for a Cause is a local organization with a large effect in the Treasure Coast, but our plans are to grow nationally. We provide professional artists with a way to use their art to make a difference while receiving compensation and recognition.”
Artists for a Cause (A4AC) is a Stuart based non-profit organization that improves communities through artistic endeavors, creating a sustainable market for professional artists, and educational opportunity for students in the arts, wherever their art is used to benefit our community.
