Wil Willis a South Jersey native, began promoting fashion in Hollywood, California at top nightlife venues in 2006. Wil, a student of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu began his campaign in the fashion world in 2009 when he launched Confrontational Clothing. Confrontational Clothing’s designs are geared toward MMA fighters and are perfect for the cage because of their durable construction and aggressive message. While Wil began to build their following, partner John R. Scott (J.R.) has put his English degree and marketing background to use developing the company’s brand. An overwhelming response from customers caused Wil and J.R. to add more designs and swimwear to the male and female collections. “I realized I wanted to bring fashion and extreme sports together while bringing awareness to the sport I love the most” says Wil. Confrontational Clothing not only sponsors elite level MMA fighters and grapplers, but they have also begun breaking ground in the world of X games, Formula 1, hip hop/street dancers, and club DJs.
