"Neptune's Garden" - Undersea Adventure Pits Man Against Memories

As Eric finds himself thrust beneath the surface of the sea amid colorful coral reefs, he learns that the real adventure lies in once again finding himself.

April 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Underwater explorer and journalist Eric Rayner hasn’t written a word since the death of his wife almost a year ago. He has been drowning in self-pity and alcohol since an airplane crash took Sara’s life and that of 237 others. A marine biologist, she was traveling overseas to study the sea life in Indonesia. It was the sea that cemented Eric and Sara’s relationship, and ultimately, it was the sea that took her life.

When Proteus Marine Research contacts Eric to become part of its history-making Neptune project, he is intrigued. This mysterious marine research foundation was founded by an elderly scientist who claims to have had a connection to his late wife, Sara. Eric agrees to become part of the Neptune project that will explore what might be the lost city of Atlantis.

As Eric finds himself thrust beneath the surface of the sea amid colorful coral reefs, he learns that the real adventure lies in once again finding himself.

Read Neptune’s Garden reviews on Amazon.com:
“Neptune’s Garden is a captivating and enchanting debut novel that had me hooked from the first chapter. The book, while focused on the relationship between a man, Eric, and his wife, Sara, and their connections to the mysteries of the deep ocean, was filled with minute and awe-inspiring details about different species of fish, marine biology and the unknown.

“Neptune's Garden made me want to take up scuba diving and learn all that I could about the world below. The characters were real, and more importantly, when they spoke, I listened. I cared about what they thought, what they did and the realizations that they made about life. Gosnell is talented as only the best writers are, and engages the reader in the quest of finding out the truth about the ocean, secret worlds and life, and relationships. The theme that exists in this book that ‘everything that you see on the surface is not always as it seems,’ is one that can relate to all walks of life and disciplines. Neptune’s Garden is a gem to read and will be enjoyed by current lovers of folklore, marine life and those who know nothing about either.”
