ICT Must be Taught Properly in Schools

April 9, 2012 - PRLog -- In an interview this morning, Terry Neal of InfoSec Skills (www.infosecskills.com), a niche ICT training company specialising in Information Security training, said the recent commentary by Education Secretary Michael Gove on the state of teaching ICT in schools was fully justified and accurate. “InfoSec Skills focuses on teaching our students about information security, a subject that needs a thorough foundation in ICT before the concepts and techniques make sense. And while organisations such as the Cyber Security Challenge UK are making our industry appeal to the next generation talent coming out of university, there is a distinct dearth in kids who are interested in ICT in this way.
