In addition to a round table discussion, attendees can look forward to these additional conference sessions covering a wide range of topics. Keynote speakers Dr. Jacquelyn Brown-Hadnot of It Is Written Ministries in Kansas City, KS; Pastor Valerie Thornton of At His Feet Ministries in Lee's Summit, MO; Pastor Bernia Williams of Woman to Woman Ministries in Wichita, KS; and Pastor Sarah White of Life Abundant Ministries in Kansas City, MO, will present "Challenges:
Breakout sessions will include:
Pastor Valerie will present "Naked, Broken and Unashamed." During this session, she will discuss what it means to come out of past hurts and bondages and walk in the newness of life. She will also discuss what it mean to be broken and the blessing that comes from spiritual and inner healing. Also, what it means to come clean in the midst of shame and walk in victory.
Apostle Sarah White will present The Enemy in Me: Destroying Self Life Issues. During this session, she will review the self life issues that are hindering women from moving forward. She will address issues such as fear, doubt, abuse, anger, bitterness and unforgiveness.
Pastor Bernia Williams will present "Even Rahab Had Value." During this session, she will share ways in which women have sold themselves short, settled for less than God's best or allowed their gifts to be used or misused. As a former prostitute Pastor Bernia will talk openly about what it means to sell yourself: mind, body and soul.
During her Friday night keynote address, "How Can I Dance When You Are Standing on My Feet," Dr. Jacquelyn Hadnot will show how hindrances from our past, friends, family and life's choices can stop the flow of God working in our lives and hinder the dance in our hearts. She will discuss what it means to be devalued and the pains of living life with low self-esteem. Dr. Hadnot's Saturday breakout session will address: "Identifying Priorities and Making New Choices."
Dr. Margaret Wright of Christ Is the Answer Ministries in Kansas City, MO will deliver the Saturday keynote luncheon address. Her topic, Standing in Excellence will discuss what it means to stand in excellence while walking in the face of adversity.
To further benefit women and help them move forward in ministry, career choices and education, AWOW will offer scholarships in areas such as: radio, television, music and publishing.
The registration fee for the conference is: $25.00 which includes books and study materials. Lunch will be served on Saturday at no additional cost.
Each woman in attendance will also receive a free food basket to assist with their household needs.
