Follow on Google News | Answer Your Door and Become America's Next Reality TV Star on The Story TrekThe Story Trek returns for a second season to prove that everyone in America has a compelling story. Don't be surprised if Todd Hansen and The Story Trek crew end up at your house! It's on BYUtv--available on satellite and cable across the US!
By: TKH Productions “Everyone has a great story and we are thrilled to keep proving that theory,” said Todd Hansen, the host and producer of The Story Trek. A dart on a map, a flip of a pen or a roll of the dice sends Hansen and his TV crew to random destinations across America on a trek for stories. Hansen interviews the first person that agrees to be on the show. “The stories we stumble onto are amazing. It is such a great opportunity to share the incredible stories of people who would otherwise not have the chance to be on national TV,” said Hansen. Hansen created the half hour TV show based on his Emmy award winning television news segments entitled Trippin’ with Todd that aired on KSTU Fox 13 in Salt Lake City where he worked as an anchor and reporter. “When I heard BYUtv was looking for family-friendly and uplifting shows I knew this would be the perfect fit. The Story Trek celebrates so-called ordinary people to show how extraordinary everyone really is,” said Hansen. The Story Trek traveled from coast to coast and many places in between for the first season of the show and the random destinations continue on season two. In addition to their nationwide travels, Hansen’s production company, TKH Productions, shoots several episodes of The Story Trek within the state of Utah. “We’ve had several viewers in Utah and across the country think that we would never end up at their house and the next thing they know—we’re knocking on their door. So you should never say never, and you should think about what you will tell us when we ask you to share your story,” said Hansen. The Story Trek airs every Tuesday night at 8pm and 11pm ET on BYUtv. It is available nationwide on Dish Network channel 9403, DirecTV channel 374 and hundreds of cable systems.
