Whole Foods rallies behind OneVoice to encourage and support local communities through song

April 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Vienna,  VA, April 6th, 2012- As OneVoice gears up for its highly anticipated trip to Africa on May 25th,  they have teamed up with Whole Foods in Vienna, Virginia to make certain the overseas expedition and missions to come are adequately funded for undeniable success.  

The Idea? On Wednesday, April 18th, all patrons of the organic food grocery power house, Whole Foods in Vienna, VA will have a shopping experience unlike any other. Enjoying the vast product that Whole Foods has to offer, 5% of all grocery sales reached that day will go towards OneVoice out-reach and program initiatives.

Beginning at 9am, visitors are encouraged to come eager to shop and support: shopping for what they need, and supporting an incredible non-profit that has an organic heart for spreading love and igniting dreams through the power of the arts.

The day will conclude with a 7pm concert in the Café featuring Robbie Schaefer, Founder of OneVoice and lead singer of the VA indie sensation, Eddie From Ohio along with the Vienna Elementary School VES Jammers!

The Vision? The uniqueness of OneVoice comes simply from the diverse team behind the organization; as Schaefer brings an uncanny empathy and passion for serving the globe with a heart mirrored beautifully in his own words: “I am reminded that everything is born of either Love or Fear, and that fear will only sow seeds of fear. Love--and only love--will sow seeds of love. OneVoice must always work from a place of Love and honor the dignity of those we serve. That's my promise to you, but more importantly, my renewed promise to myself.”

The Whole Foods shopping event promises to serve not just its patrons with the perfect shopping experience, it also promises to serve its local community with a renewed sense of unity, solidifying its commitment to and enthusiasm for service.

Robbie Schaefer has been a professional musician for over 20 years, touring and recording with the VA based folk-rock band Eddie From Ohio, as well as on his own. He has lived in India, Switzerland, and Virginia, which explains his love for chai tea, chocolate, and tri-cornered hats. He is currently the Music Director for Kids Place Live, the children’s programming channel on Sirius XM Radio. OneVoice’s 2012 project will take the team to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda – where they will work with school children to create a multi-media art project that will be showcased this fall in Washington, DC.
