Holladay/Purdue development gets 'Certified'

May 2, 2012 - PRLog -- The Purdue Research Park of Indianapolis has received Indiana's latest Certified Technology Park designation. The Certified Technology Parks program was established to encourage the attraction and growth of high-technology businesses in Indiana and promote technology relocation opportunities.

With the designation, the Purdue Research Park of Indianapolis will be able to collect certain state and local tax revenues, which will then be invested in the development of the park. The business and technology park, a 78-acre parcel located within the 1,500 acre AmeriPlex-Indianapolis development, is a joint venture development of Holladay Properties and the Purdue Research Foundation (PRF).

The development, located across the road from the Midfield Terminal at Indianapolis International Airport, is the second joint venture development of Holladay Properties and PRF and the third Purdue Research Park to receive the Certified Technology Park distinction.

The designation was previously granted in 2003 to the Purdue Research Park, PRF's flagship park in West Lafayette, the state's first Certified Technology Park. PRF and Holladay's joint venture in Merrillville, Ind., AmeriPlex at the Crossroads, which includes the Purdue Research Park of Merrillville, received the certification in 2006.

The Purdue Research Park of Indianapolis opened in 2009 with the completion of the 55,000 square foot Purdue Technology Center of Indianapolis. The building is currently home to 14 emergent and developing companies that employ nearly 160 people in information technology, life sciences, engineering and other high-tech industries.
