Three Snell & Wilmer Attorneys Named 'Legal Eagles' By Franchise Times

April 5, 2012 - PRLog -- ORANGE COUNTY (April 5, 2012) – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that three attorneys, Susan Grueneberg, David Rauch, and Elizabeth Weldon, have been named 2012 Legal Eagles by Franchise Times.

Franchise Times “Legal Eagles” annual list is comprised of highly regarded outside counsel who represent the franchise community in the United States and Canada. To make the list, attorneys are nominated by their peers and clients, plus they must meet the criteria of the Franchise Times editorial panel. Franchise Times classifies those on this list as top legal talent who have the experience, dedication, and heart to go above and beyond for their clients.

Susan Grueneberg, partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office and Co-Chair of the firm’s Franchise and Retail Services Group, is certified as a Franchise & Distribution Law Specialist by the California Board of Legal Specialization. Grueneberg’s focus is on advising clients on franchise and distribution law, including regulatory compliance. Her practice emphasizes both domestic and international franchises and licensing, as well as area development arrangements and sub-franchises. Grueneberg has consistently been named a Legal Eagle since 2004.

David Rauch, partner in the firm’s Phoenix office, serves as the Chair of the firm’s Franchise Litigation Group, and Co-Chair of the firm’s Franchise and Retail Services Group.  He handles complex business litigation of all kinds, with an emphasis on representing franchisors in disputes with franchisees and in other business disputes. Rauch has extensive experience with complex business disputes, including contract-based claims such as breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and breach of non-compete. This is Rauch’s third appearance on the Legal Eagle list.

Elizabeth Weldon is a partner in the firm’s Orange County office. Weldon concentrates her practice in business litigation, franchise litigation, and intellectual property litigation. She represents franchisors in matters including breach of contract, trademark and trade name infringement, business competition torts, and franchise law claims. Additionally, Weldon represents both large and small businesses in intellectual property and other litigation matters, including patent, trademark, trade dress, trade secret, copyright, breach of contract, and tort claims. Weldon was also named a 2011 Legal Eagle.
