PRLog - Apr. 5, 2012 - MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- RECAP, Inc. is a not for profit whose mission is to mobilize and coordinate public and private resources to address the basic needs of low-income people while they attain the skills, knowledge, motivation and opportunities needed to become economically self-sufficient. The non-profit performs eyesight screenings and collects backpacks for children attending Manhagen Middle School and William A. Carter Elementary School, both in the City of Middletown. The RECAP organization also feeds over 300 families every month.

The Middletown Lions Club is certified in the area to organize the 2012 Food Drive to benefit RECAP. Dolson Avenue Medical has partnered with the Middletown Lions Club, a member of the Lions Club International since 1936.
The Lions Club and its members have always been great community leaders and demonstrated social responsibility. That is why we partnered with them, said Dr. Jay Spina. We at Dolson Avenue Medical feel it is important to give back to the community and help out where we can. Over the past month Dolson Avenue Medical has donated over 440 food items to the RECAP food drive and continues to strive to do their part to better the community.
