The ClearToe laser treatment works by gently delivering laser energy through the nail targeting where the fungus flourishes. The laser destroys or vaporizes the fungus, leaving behind no damage to the nail or surrounding skin. The treatment is very tolerable and requires no downtime. Patients treated will see results as their infected nail(s) begin to grow. A new, clearer nail begins to replace the damaged nail and results can be seen over the six to twelve months that this nail regeneration process takes.

Patients with mild to moderate nail fungus may see results from one ClearToe treatment while others with more advanced cases of fungus may require more than one service to see improvement. Efficacy studies show that greater than 80% of those treated with laser therapy for their nail fungus considered their results successful.
“Nail fungus can be an embarrassing concern for people,” said Dr. Hagberg. “It’s rewarding to treat this cosmetic issue not only because so many people are living with the condition for whom we can help, but also because in the past there have been few treatments to effectively treat nail fungus. “
Although results of the treatment are promising, Dr. Hagberg concluded by saying long-term success relies upon the hygiene practices of the patient. “Toenails [and fingernails]
