Full review of Blackberry Torch 9850. Now purchase for just $199 on contract and for $499 unlocked!

PRLog - Apr. 5, 2012 - MANHATTAN, N.Y. -- Rim officially announced the new blackberry torch 9850, which features a 3.7-inch 800 x 480-pixel resolution full screen display. The phone has 4 hardware buttons at the bottom for placing & ending calls, accessing the phone menu & moving back through menus. There is the optical trackpad in the middle which is kind of not necessary as the phone features touch. It also has dedicated buttons on the side and top for Camera (User customizable), Volume Up/Down (Fwd/Rwd for media, Zoom for camera), Mute (Play/Pause for media), Lock. Torch 9850 is packed with a 5 megapixel camera with single flash LED, auto focus, Face detection, Geo-tagging, 4X digital zoom and many more options. Also it has 720p video recording and continuous auto focus which no other Blackberry has ever had. The phone comes with the new Blackberry OS7. Web experience is totally different, pages opens almost instantly seems like 1.2 GHz processor works great.  Although this phone is great but I faced some issues while typing emails and messages, the keys are too small and I had to rewrite words several times to get it correct.
When I grabbed on to Blackberry Torch 9850 and Torch 9800, I found big difference in terms of looks, size, weight & also the performance.
1)   Torch 9850 is much smaller than Torch 9800 and also about half ounce lighter.
2)   Torch 9850 performs exceptionally well with the browser, web pages opens up quickly.
3)   Torch 9850 has better graphics and scroll as compared to 9800.
4)   HTML 5 videos which didn’t played with torch 9800 does actually plays with 9850. Amazing!

Now, if you are planning purchase this phone in United States you can go for Sprint or Verizon network. The phone costs around $199 on contract but the Customers who want to avoid being tied down by a long-term contract can purchase the BlackBerry Torch 9850 for a retail price of about $499. This is the price for an unlocked Blackberry Torch 9850. Unlocked phone can be used with any GSM SIM cards of any carrier.
