Lancaster Area Plant Center Reopens, Moves to Spring Hours

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 5, 2012 - With warmer weather comes more outdoor time, and the opportunity for those with a green thumb to spend a little bit of time readying their gardens and landscapes for the season. The official start of Spring was marked a few weeks back, and Root’s Nurseries has now changed its garden center operating hours to reflect that.

“We usually get an influx of garden center customers when the weather gets warmer, and more inquiries about landscaping-related services. We also bring in our seasonal staff so we’re better able to assist customers. That allows us to increase our hours and be more available for those who want to stop by and look around or pick something up,” said David Root, owner of Root’s Nurseries.

The garden center’s Spring hours are now as follows; 8 AM to 6 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 8 AM to 7 PM on Tuesday and Friday; and 8 AM to 5 PM on Saturday. The center is currently closed on Sundays.

Current specials at Root’s Nurseries include 30% off Zelkova “Village Green” shade trees, and $15 off the purchase of any new tree as part of the TreeVitalize “Trees Count PA” program. Root’s Nurseries also provides landscape design services to those who want to spruce up their outdoor areas in time for summer.
