Leaked Image Shows Amd Boasts New Trinity Chip Will Provide Big Performance Boost

Leaked image shows amd boasts new trinity chip will provide big performance boost

April 4, 2012 - PRLog -- If you currently have the Llano chip powering your system right now, get ready for a rumored increase in performance with the upcoming “trinity” chips by AMD.  According to a leaked image from SweClockers.com, the new trinity processor will increase CPU productivity by 29% and 56% over the current Llano chip.  Furthermore, the mobile version of the trinity will boast a 12 hour battery life at rest. Is the leaked image legit?  Who cares!  We will see for ourselves these rumored claims when the chip rolls out.
Can we really expect the new AMD chip to compete with the new Ivy Bridge from Intel?  That’s hard to say since there are no solid evidence of either performing better than another.  What we do know is that the two chip makers are working diligently to outdo the one another.  In a world of survival of the fittest, for consumers it’s a very good thing.
So far, in terms of quality Intel has always won the battle of pure processing power.  However, AMD has always fought hard and have won the price per performance ratio.  It is a clear sign that AMD wants take over the throne of processor king, by putting a lot of resources into developing graphics processors (GPU).  AMD is winning in that department since it’s clear the intel’s integrated graphics are lagging behind AMD’s integrated graphics.
