The theme of the conference is Alternatives to Biological Psychiatry: Treatments That Work. Submissions are encouraged on the following topics:
Alternatives to medication for those in psychological distress, including approaches to both psychosis and depression
Empirical, conceptual or philosophical critiques of biological psychiatry
Comparisons of efficacy of drug and non-drug treatments
Examinations of obstacles to evidence-based mental health treatment
Analyses of psychiatric labeling (use of DSM)
Critical analysis of the impact of the pharmaceutical industry
Any other topic relevant to the overall theme presented above.
