International Society for Ethical Psychology and Psychiatry (ISEPP) Conference Call for Papers

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 4, 2012 - Philadelphia, PA:  The International Society for Ethical Psychology and Psychiatry (ISEPP) announced today that it has issued the Call for Papers for its 2012 conference. The conference is scheduled for November 2 and 3 at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The theme of the conference is Alternatives to Biological Psychiatry: Treatments That Work. Submissions are encouraged on the following topics:


Alternatives to medication for those in psychological distress, including approaches to both psychosis and depression

Empirical, conceptual or philosophical critiques of biological psychiatry

Comparisons of efficacy of drug and non-drug treatments

Examinations of obstacles to evidence-based mental health treatment

Analyses of psychiatric labeling (use of DSM)

Critical analysis of the impact of the pharmaceutical industry

Any other topic relevant to the overall theme presented above.
