(APT), a global leader in the development and the manufacturing of Surge Protective Devices (SPDs), announces the BNC Series, a new product line for Camera & Video Equipment Protection. Our new In-Line BNC Surge Protective Devices include the BNCA10kA and the BNCB5kA products.

The BNCA10kA is a Three Stage Hybrid, In-Line Surge Protector designed to protect BNC Coax data signals with transmission rates up to 10 Mbps. This premium Surge Protection Device is intended for Severe Service at BNC coaxial connections for video equipment such as pole-mount CCTV cameras. The BNCA10kA has a 10kA surge current rating. The internal components are housed in a shielded anodized extruded aluminum case. This Surge Protective Device includes special circuitry that prevents the surge protector from inadvertently creating a ground loop. It also features easy to install din rail mounting (bracket included). BNC gender changers are available.

The BNCB5kA is an In-Line Coaxial Primary Surge Protector Kit designed to protect coax cabled equipment from power-induced overvoltage surges. This BNC kit includes an SACX UL 497C Listed Coaxial Surge Protective Device and two F to BNC connectors for BNC applications. The intended application for this surge protector is at the Service Entrance for life safety protection from power line crosses and lightning.
