Asus Transformer Pad Infinity Specs

April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- In the press conference done at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Asus chairman Jonney Shih presented Asus Transformer Pad Infinity specs. This new tablet created by Asus is not that different from the former tablets which are TF101 and Prime. They just improved some features in the operating system and hardware. It is now known as the world's first full HD 4G LTE tablet.

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity Complete Specifications

1. A Tablet and A Notebook

Like its brothers, Infinity can be easily transformed from a tablet to a notebook. With the use of Chiclet QWERTY keyboard, the tablet can be used as a laptop. Moreover, using the keyboard can extend  the battery life.

2. Dual Camera

Infinity's cameras are capable of capturing stunning photos. The front camera captures 2MP images and the rear one takes 8MP autofocus with flash. This back camera also has a large F/2.2 aperture and backlit sensor making the image well lit even in low light situations.

3. Ultra Slim Design

With 8.5mm thinness, Infinity looks better than the previous versions. It now uses Corning Gorilla 2, a durable glass that now became thinner. This makes the tablet durable even in a slim design.

4. Ultra Bright Display with Great Quality Audio

Infinity's screen resolution is 1920x1200 Full HD and has a 178-degree wide viewing angle. It displays an ultra-bright 600 nits outdoor readable Super IPS+ that can still be readable outdoors even under the bright sun. With ASUS SonicMaster sound, the tablet also produces superb quality sounds for optimal audio experience.

5. Dual-core or Quad-core Processor

This tablet uses a powerful processor. It uses either Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait Dual-core(4G/3G) or the NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 T33 Quad-core (Wi-Fi) CPU with 1GB ram. The tablet can run even the heavy applications smoothly with this powerful support.

6. Storage

It uses 32 or 64GB WiFi and 16, 32, or 64GB 3G - LTE options for file storage.

7. Operating System

It is powered by Android™ 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

8. Physical Size Dimensions and Weight

The pad size is 263 × 180.8 × 8.5 mm  and it weighs 586g. It's dock is 263 × 180.8 × 8~10.4 mm and weighs 537g. With the pad and dock combined, it measures 263 × 180.8 × 17.2~19.6 mm and weighs1123g.

9. Battery Life

The tablet runs up to 10 hours and extends up to 16 hours when used with the keyboard dock.

10. Network

It uses Wifi/3G/ LTE with the data rates of 3G SKU: HSPA+ 21/5.76 Mbps or LTE SKU: 100/50 Mbps.

11. Wireless Connectivity

It connects wirelessly through 802.11 b/g/n, WI-FI Direct, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and Bluetooth 4.0 LE.

12. Input and Ouput Jacks

Infinity pad has 2-in-1 Audio Jack (Headphone / Mic-in),1 × micro HDMI port, 1 × Micro SD Card Reader, Internal Microphone. and Stereo Speaker. It's dock  has 1 × USB2.0 port and 1 × SD Card Reader.
