Licensed, Medicare certified home health care agencies must prove compliance by review of a sample of medical records and interviews with patients in their homes. The survey ensures that the agency has appropriate staff, follows the plan of care specified by a physician, maintains medical records to document the care provided and periodically reassesses each patient's condition. The surveyor will also review the home health agency's policy and procedures, including areas of human resource management and employee compliance.
Besides the deficiency free survey, Care Link has also been awarded the 4 Star Rating for Distinct Quality by Medicaid/Medicare, received a “Best of Toledo Award” by the U.S. Commerce Association for 2009, 2010 and 2011 and the Excellence Award Nomination by the Ohio Council for Home Care in 2009 and 2010.
