PRLog -- The Mayo Group, owners of real estate along Franklin and Portland Streets in Worcester, is working with ArtsWorcester to find local artists interested in submitting their ideas to create a mural where the now defunct Paris Theater once operated. The Mayo Group has been rehabbing the properties they own in the area and thought that the blank facade in front of the Paris theater presented an opportunity to collaborate with ArtsWorcester. Juliet Feibel, the Director of ArtsWorcester says, "We create opportunities for local artists, and this is a particularly fun one. Some artist is going to love using the expanse of that great blank canvas, and city residents are going to love the result." John McGrail, CEO and Founder of the Mayo Group says, "We are thrilled to be able to work with ArtsWorcester in order to help us find a local artist for this project. It's a great opportunity to have their creativity exposed and end result will be an enhancement for the area and current facade." The Mayo Group is offering a $1000 materials budget for supplies. The dimensions of the solid material canvas are 40 feet across by 15 feet long. Artist are encouraged to submit ideas for what they would create on the mural no later than May 15th. All inquiries can be sent to: Heather@ExposeYourselfPR.com for consideration. An artist will be chosen before the end of May, with work expected to start no later than June 1st.
