PRLog - Apr. 3, 2012 - Atlanta, GA, - Atlanta based singer/songwriter Kima Charysse has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to fund her 8 song debut release. The 2x Rhythm of Gospel Award nominated artist, who has been compared to top Award winning artists like Kari Jobe, Mary Mary, and Adele, is looking to release her new album in Summer 2012.
"I have been working on this album off and on for the past few years, during which time I have had various life situations that have pulled me away from completing this project", said Kima. "What really got me focused was when a pastor at a small Atlanta church I was performing at recently, told me that the longer I wait [to finish the album] the more people will die [spiritually]
The Kickstarter campaign goal is to raise $12,000 by April 15th 2012. Supporters can pledge money via Kima's Kickstarter webpage and everyone who participates will receive certain rewards based upon the level of their donation. Rewards include things like: free downloads and CDs of the new album, your name in the album credits, a chance to hear the project before it is released, cameo appearance in Kima's first music video, Skype video chats, autographed limited edition posters, dinner with Kima that includes a private acoustic concert or even a concert at your church small group.
