The Signature Room at the 95th Springs Into April and Announces Its Charity of the Month

April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- CHICAGO, Ill. –  Just as the spring weather has changed in April, so has the Charity of the Month for The Signature Room at the 95th. The year-long Charity of the Month program, created by owners Rick Roman and Nick Pyknis in 1993 has donated upwards of $918,000 to over 200 non-profit organizations in Chicago. In April, Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly (H.O.M.E.) is the lucky beneficiary that will receive 10 percent of sales generated from the Signature Menu served in the main dining room.

The a la carte menu and signature cocktail created exclusively for the month of April, offer an array of gourmet, seasonal options to indulge in throughout the month. Enjoy the colorful spring views from the dining room on the 95th floor with the Signature Sunset cocktail crafted with Knob Creek Single Barrel bourbon and blood red orange juice. Starters include pan roasted quail with artichoke and pistachio; Nichols Farm German butterball potato soup with ramps and house made bacon; and an asparagus, frisèe and poached egg salad with truffle vinaigrette. Main courses include Lake Superior whitefish served with Anson Mills farro, Tuscan kale and porcini broth or a Knob Creek brined venison loin with morels, creamy spring peas and rhubarb gastrique. End the meal with a rhubarb tart accompanied by honey whipped crème fraiche, baked daily by the in house pastry team.
