Ryan Ragan Joins Rider Surf Ambassador Team

Rider Sandals is pleased to welcome Ryan Ragan as the first member of its Surf Ambassador Team.

PRLog - Apr. 3, 2012 - Rider Sandals (www.ridersandals.com), a Brazilian brand of sandals distributed in the U.S. by GrendeneUSA, is pleased to welcome Ryan Ragan as the first member of its Surf Ambassador Team.

Originally from Daytona Beach, Fla., Ragan has been competing since the age of 14. After taking some time off, Ragan is eager to get back on top of his game. Ragan plans to compete in roughly a dozen surf competitions this year starting with the 2012 ASP World Qualifying Series and World Championship Tour. While away from professional competition, Ragan has stayed connected to the sport by teaching aspiring surfers in the Daytona Beach area.

As Surf Ambassador, Ragan will not only represent Rider Sandals in his return to professional competition, he will be introducing surf retailers to the Rider Sandal product line by building relationships throughout Florida and California.

“With the launch of our new Street Summer product line this year, we’re excited about partnerships with leaders in surfing, like Ryan,” stated Angelo Daros, vice president of GrendeneUSA. “He’s a great fit for our brand and we hope to utilize his relationships to open doors with retailers in this sector while generating increased awareness at competitions.”

Rider’s commitment to surfing extends beyond the addition of Ragan as Surf Ambassador and also includes a new sponsorship of the 60 member Surf Club and Team at the University of Central Florida.
