The Indie Film Everyone is Talking About Races to Finish its grassroots Indie film that could be the next "Blair Witch" or "Paranormal Activity" in time for Screamfest deadline!

April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Red Barn Media, a Massachusetts production group, announced the launch of its IndieGoGo Campaign to raise post-production funds to finish its Indie feature horror film called “Dudleytown Curse – the 49th Key” - about the infamous and cursed village of Dudleytown, Connecticut – an area Dan Aykroyd reportedly called the “scariest place on Earth”.   The Indie horror film, based on a story which Red Barn Media calls the "utterly terrifying incidents" in Dudleytown, Connecticut, began shooting in Fall  2011 and wrapped principal photography by the end of 2011.

The IndieGoGo Campaign is at:

The production’s goal is to finish the film in time for the deadline to Screamfest – 2012 – what some call the “Sundance” of scary movies.   Screamfest is the film festival where “Paranormal Activity” was screened and went on to be a huge box office success.  Some are calling “Dudleytown Curse” the next “Blair Witch” or “Paranormal Activity” as the low budge grassroots film is a compilation of found footage, is in the cinema verite format, and is already building a steady following on the web.  Red Barn Media recently released a short video showing some sample footage from the production which has been plagued by a freakish October snowstorm which nearly shut down the production, continuous mishaps, strange and freaky encounters during the filming, and even the arrest of eight cast and crew for alleged trespassing on the private land which comprises Dudleytown.   In the video, there is a news report of six missing teenagers who mysteriously disappeared in Dudleytown and a crew who dares to try to find them – led by Ashley Eldredge –a producer who lost the love of here life when he attempted to make a documentary about Dudleytown .   A real life paranormal investigator, Thomas D’Agostino, was interviewed by the production talks about reports of negative energy associated with Dudleytown and theories that there could be a vortex or thin region which allows entities to pass more freely between this world and another.

The Legend of the Dudleytown Curse says that Dudleytown is damned, the legacy of a “Curse” placed on the Dudley family by King Henry VIII and his demonic minions nearly five hundred years ago in England.  The sons of the cursed family are said to have fled England and settled in Dudleytown, Connecticut where the “Curse” is said to have followed them.
