April 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Pinterest fanatics and interior designers Stephanie Weeks and Leah Young of Dallas have developed a unique event to bring their Pinterest inspiration boards to life – an interactive Pinterest party.  They along with several of their associates find themselves addicted to Pinterest but missing the opportunity to share their ideas in person.  “Toast to the Coast” on April 12, 2012 from 7 – 10 p.m. at the Heard-Craig Hall in McKinney brings together a group of talented creative professionals that will offer guests hands-on direction to actually do what they have been pinning.

Inspiration becomes reality with crafts, fashion, make-up, cooking and of course more pinning – but this time collectively on large screens in the event space provided by 2surge.com! Each guest will leave with their finished (or unfinished) projects.

Pinterest is the social media rage that has yet to monetize or invade your privacy.  As an online bulletin board of your favorite things and inspiration, Pinterest is an excellent tool for those in creative fields.  Stephanie Weeks has been pinning for over a year to support her interior design firm, Redesign Your Décor.  Alongside her online mood boards and design bulletin boards, Weeks has developed http://www.InteriorDesignHQ.com a new blog dedicated to the technology tools for the design industry.  As a tech-savvy and busy professional, Weeks has a firm grasp on the delicate balance of utilizing technology in a personal service industry.  Not to take away from the personal attention her firm gives their clients, Weeks is leveraging technology to work more efficiently and giving their clients the tools to personally explore the perfect environments for their family.  This allows her staff to work collaboratively with their clients to have a palette for which to implement a design plan.

“Having design clients pin what they like is similar to collecting pages from design magazines to help them define their design aesthetic,” states Stephanie Weeks of Redesign Your Decor.  “The difference with using Pinterest as opposed to a traditional method is that Pinterest is limitless and opens the whole world to clients via the web.  Clients always surprise us with what they pin.  You might never know they were into Japanese art until they pin it,” continues Weeks.

During “Toast to the Coast” on April 12, 2012, all attendees will get to participate in the virtual world of Pinterest while creating hands-on projects all themed around the beautiful colors of a coastal environment.

Founder Stephanie Weeks has been featured in The Dallas Morning News, Plano insider, CW33 and other media as design resource.  Redesign Your Décor is an interior design firm offering a spectrum of services: full service interior design and space planning, re-styling a home with existing decorative items, design coaching to help clients understand their style and build a design plan for all levels from a single room to helping do-it-yourself types.  Weeks has evolved the design coaching to include a technology platform, http://www.InteriorDesignHQ.com to leverage online design tools to enrich the design experience for their clients.   http://www.rydecor.com
