Theo Paphitis Presents Kent-Based Maternity Brand Zoe Alexander UK With #SBS Award

April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Up and coming maternity brand Zoe Alexander UK has received an #SBS award at a glittering ceremony in Birmingham – just nine weeks after launching their online boutique.

The stylish clothing range, based in Kent, was conceived by husband and wife team Steve and Adriana Walkington in 2010, prior to the birth of their daughter Zoë.

Steve and Adriana, from Ashford, said that they were “thrilled” to be among those selected to meet BBC Dragons' Den star Theo Paphitis at the #SBS event in Birmingham.

#SBS was created in 2010 by Theo Paphitis to give new and small businesses exposure to a wider audience with his support.

The business award has given Zoe Alexander UK the perfect platform to promote the designer maternity brand. The company will also feature on a special #SBS-winners website, which has been designed to promote the businesses both nationally and internationally.

Zoe Alexander UK both designs and manufactures its maternity range here in the UK, offering a bespoke made-to-measure service for stylish mums-to-be.

Adriana, 36, said: “We were thrilled to be chosen on Twitter as one of the select businesses to meet Theo and be given an #SBS award – the hard work is really starting to pay off! We hope that this will prove to be a huge additional launchpad for us, and we can’t wait to see what comes next."

Steve, 44, has more than 17 years experience in manufacturing and added: "We initially opened the operation in Europe, but we realised we couldn't achieve what we wanted. Subsequently we relocated the business to the UK."
