The Bill Littlefield Cancer Survivors Scholarship Fund is named for a Kelley School of Business faculty member who succumbed in 2005 to mesothelioma, a rare cancer caused by asbestos exposure. In just six years, the Mini Marathon has raised more than $100,000 for the Bill Littlefield Cancer Survivors Scholarship Fund, and has become the unofficial kickoff to a month of exciting IU traditions, including Little 500, Little 50, and Senior Salute.
Klene and his wife, Jessie, also joined Team Where Is She?. Where Is She? is a group aimed to help raise awareness for missing Indiana University student, Lauren Spierer. Klene stated, “this was a great chance to help two great causes while enjoying the beauty that IU and Bloomington have to offer.” Since opening an office in Bloomington, EAGL is dedicated to supporting the local community and will continue to do so.
