20 mS (milliseconds) shift times achieved with latest PS3 closed loop gearshift system

April 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Last week the Pro-Shift team headed off to evaluate the latest PS3 Closed Loop System on the Dynojet Dyno. The standard Honda CBR1000RR 2010 Superbike was put through its paces with outstanding results. Starting from 2nd gear to avoid wheelspin, with only 4 upshifts the PS3 was an incredible 1.2 seconds quicker from 45 to 168 mph than the base clutchless manual run. The Dynojet Dyno shows a virtually seamless power transmission throughout the length of the run.

Single Shift Analysis  with data taken from the original Dyno Runfile 009.drf shows a lightening fast 20 mS Closed Loop shift from 4th to 5th. Pro-Shift believe this to be far faster than World Championship Superbike teams are currently achieving.
