The object of the seminars was to explore the latest techniques and technologies for pharmaceutical granulation. 87 delegates from 31 multi-national and local companies attended the lectures which covered discussions on a range of pharmaceutical processes including:
• Fluid Bed Processing
• High Shear Granulation including Integrated Processing Lines
• Granulation of highly potent materials including Single Pot Processing
• Comparing different granulation processes including a review of continuous processing
• Special applications such as coating, tabletting, etc.
The event was organised and supported by local staff from STEQ, the agent for GEA Pharma Systems in Brazil. Dr Stahl extends his thanks to the staff at STEQ who did a magnificent job in organising the seminars and ensuring that the programme was a success.
The seminars were aimed at helping directors, managers and production coordinators within the pharmaceutical industry to get up to date with the latest techniques and technologies for pharmaceutical processing. Participants learnt how technology innovation can improve their production lines; had the opportunity to debate problems and find resolutions;
