WHAT: The 9th Annual Walk for Wishes, benefitting the Georgia and Alabama Chapter of Make-A-Wish®
will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Atlantic Station. This 1.75 mile walk, presented by Novelis, Inc., will raise money to grant the wishes of local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Corporate walk teams from Novelis, AT&T, Stasco Mechanical, Inc., Orr Protection, Bank of America, Accenture, Balfour Beatty Construction, among others, will be coming together to walk with families and friends in an effort to raise $250,000 for the organization.
Georgia & Alabama is also excited to announce the inaugural Run for Wishes. This 5K run will also be on Saturday, April 28th and will begin and end in Central Park at Atlantic Station. The timed run will be a pre-qualifier for the 2013 Peachtree Road Race and will have awards for the following categories:
Overall M/F; Overall M/F Masters (40+)
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the following: 10 & under; 11-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+
