Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery Announces a Unique Trade-In For Cycling Enthusiasts

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 2, 2012 - With its new trade-in announcement, Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery is all set to take another step towards making the environment cleaner, greener and healthier.This trade in will allow owners of old cars to trade in their vehicles for the more fuel-efficient bicycles.The trade in will continue from March 19 to March 25, 2011.

The new scheme has been launched keeping in mind the soaring prices of gas and will provide car owners a relief from the rising expenses of fuel, by presenting an affordable means of transportation.The trade-in scheme also aligns with the environment-friendly policies of the cycle shop.

“In Los Angeles, gas prices have soared sky-high and with the huge number of cars out on road, road congestion always presents a problem.We celebrate Bike-to-work week and day. Why not take out bikes and take them to work every day?” says David Kooi, owner of SMMC.

“There couldn’t be any other vehicle with greater fuel efficiency than thebike and everybody knows that saving on gas isn’t the only benefit offered by bicycles.  They offer you a lot more enjoyable means of transportation to work, home or any other place where you want to go,” he added.

From 19th March to 25th, Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery will work with local auto dealer, Vista Ford. Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery will accept cars and SUVs and trade them with new bicycles.

Consumers can go to Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery and choose their new, environment-friendly bicycle.  After choosing the bicycle, they will be required to visit Vista Ford to get their vehicle evaluated and appraised. Consumers can then trade their car to Vista Ford and return to Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery to pick up their bicycle.
