Harp is in the house, so join the International Chamber Artists (ICA) to hear “The Lyric-al Harpist”. ICA’s harpist, Marguerite Lynn Williams, is the new Principal Harp of the Lyric Opera of Chicago. She will be featured at this concert on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 4:00 PM at St. Gregory the Great Church, located at 5535 N Paulina St, Chicago, IL 60640, one block from Ashland and Bryn Mawr.
You will hear an ICA first, a world premiere of modern virtuoso composer Stephen Kleiman’s Song, Dances and Allegretto. The other outstanding selections of music are Richard Strauss’ Quartet in C Minor, Op. 13, Marcel Tournier’s Suite, Op. 34, and Camille Saint-Saëns’
“Harp was independently invented in many parts of the world,” says Patrick Godon, ICA Founder and Artistic Director. “Join us to hear diverse influences from an array of composers.”
