Location Images (iDream.tv ) launched in 1985 by co-founders Edie French and Paul Auguston. Their first assignment was a documentary film for the University of Minnesota about a scientific expedition to view a solar eclipse in sub-zero temperatures.  Establishing  a reputation as intrepid problem solvers they created a solid base of communication expertise.  In 2004, with the advent of Web 2.0, Location Images (dba) evolved into a full-service multimedia production firm called iDream.TV. Today, their creative and talented staff continue to meet the communication challenges of a rapidly growing client base which includes business, education and the arts - around the globe.

Their diverse client list includes the History Channel, United Business Media (UBM), Whirl-a-Style, Inc., the Minneapolis Public Schools, Concordia College, the American Association of Pediatricians, Presbyterian Homes & Services, the Givens Foundation for African American Literature, the Cowles Center for Performing Arts and many others.

They create promotional videos, training films, event and conference documentation, and a new service line called The Visual Archeology Lab, which gives nostalgic images new life (the first project published this month is a print and e-book in 3D of a 1905 Stereographic Expedition to Egypt).

Edie French, President/CEO  was invited to be a keynote speaker for the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce’s first Economic Recovery series program.  In her talk titled “Surviving the Recession: Ready to Grow” she highlighted the importance of adapting to changing conditions. "With an economic downturn we developed a suite of lower cost products that would address the needs of small business and entrepreneurs (representing the largest segment of business nationally and in Minnesota)  in promoting themselves, " says French. This strategy provided staying power not only for us, but for our clients as well."

When internet video began to emerge as a powerful communication tool, iDream.TV expanded their video production services.  They ramped up their implementation of green screen, web video, video streaming, podcasting, webinars and digital photography.

"This leverage opportunity helped to increase market share and audience development for our clients, " says French. "Now with social media using video for promotional and marketing purposes, we have established a strong platform to continue to offer our client base these options at a very high level of quality and expertise."

iDream.TV embraces the important role of video in the global marketplace. "We recognize that we live in an increasingly diverse world and our client base, staffing and skill set reflects this. We offer communication in several languages. Our equipment is cutting edge. We network, solve problems, offer solutions," says French.

German companies employ over 700,000 Americans and represent the largest segment of  international trade in Minnesota. Patricia DeBlasis Wendling, Executive Director of the German American Chamber of Commerce in Minnesota, appreciates the expert advice, creativity and great results provided by iDream.TV.

“The German American Chamber of Commerce in Minnesota was fortunate to have  iDreamTV produce a successful video for our fundraising gala. The team at iDream.TV is not only fun to work with but Edie and her business partner Paul, are true professionals and produced a fantastic product. We are thrilled to work with iDreamTVl! ,” said Wendling.

Leo Espinoza, owner of Latin Experience Television and business partner of iDream.TV comments on iDreamTV, "Their commitment to cross-cultural communication and inclusiveness is evident in everything they do. Producing effective media in multiple languages requires not only specialized technical skills but a high level of sensitivity to culture. In using best practices in these areas, Ms French, her partner Paul Auguston and her team at iDreamTV provide a foundation for making the world a smaller and more accessible place."

Jean Doolittle, a client from Minneapolis Public Schools appreciates the way iDream.TV understands the education environment. “Working with Edie and her team was a pleasure through and through. She embraced our ideas enthusiastically and worked with us in depth to build the video project we wanted," says Doolittle.

Roy Close from Artspace Projects says, "We worked with the iDream.tv team on a video for the grand opening of the Cowles Center in Minneapolis. The deadline was extremely tight. Not only did they complete the video on time, it was outstanding. "

In addition to Edie French and Paul Auguston, members of the iDream.TV team include Regional Emmy Award winning Nathan Matson, lead multi-media designer Julie Kistler, Cinema Division Excellence Award winner Ryan Melling and media designer Angela Matson.
