March 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Anna, a strong & independent woman, leaves her partner & high paid government job behind to set up an underground Organization that exposes corruption and injustice which is spreading like a virus around the world.

Her IT/hacking skills come in very handy when she discovers international sex slavery networks that run deep into the government & corporate structures.

Her investigation leads her to Eastern Europe where one vital contact set her on track to discover horrific truths behind human trafficking.

To keep up on top of things Anna recruits Pawel, a talented researcher who unwittingly gets entangled into the unstoppable current of events.

Together, they risk everything to unravel the secrets behind a major trafficking ring and shed public light onto the horrors of sex slavery.

Letter from the Director/Filmmaker:
Over a year ago, I got interested in modern day slavery and human trafficking. During that time (via tweeter @LifeIsSweetBaby) I got to know Lynn, a wonderful woman who is fighting to stop human trafficking. She has been a tremendous inspiration for me & provided me with guidance. The horrendous stories that I've heard about sex slavery/human trafficking or modern day slavery that have been surfacing all over the... world would even bring tears to the eyes of the toughest of people.

Short Statistics

1. The United Nations estimates that 700,000 to 4 million women and children are trafficked around the world for purposes of forced prostitution, labor and other forms of exploitation every year. Trafficking is estimated to be a $7 billion dollar annual business.

2. An estimated 27 million people are held in slavery worldwide, meaning there are more slaves in the world than were taken from Africa during 300 years of the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

3. The average price of individual slaves is less than a new cell phone or about $90.

After a good bit of crying I came to the conclusion that crying won’t do anyone any good. It was time to do something about it, to make as many people aware of this global problem as possible.

Many of us don’t know (I was one of them) that sex slavery is one of the most profitable “businesses” in the world.

I can only guess that making “Anna and Modern Day Slavery” is going to be an emotional journey.

However, I do believe that together we can make a difference and make people more aware of the huge problem humanity is facing and in turn take action against it.

What do I intend to do with the movie?

Once “Anna and Modern Day Slavery” is made, I’m planning to enter the movie into various film festivals. Of course, to make my job and effort more fruitful, I’ll hire a publicist to help me choose the right festivals for the movie.

When we finish the festival circuits I’m going to make the movie available for everyone to watch online for FREE.

Yes, you heard it right. For FREE.

Of course for some period, let’s say two weeks, the 'Anna and Modern Day Slavery' will only be available exclusively to the supporters of the movie. But later on, everyone will be able to watch it. The more people the better because...

... while making “Anna and Modern Day Slavery” my goal is not to make enormous amounts of money from it. I’m making this movie because I want people to wake up and see how cruel our advanced society is.

After watching the movie the audience will have a chance to make a donation towards making another Anna movie,  (this time about illegal organ trafficking) & towards charities helping the victims of human trafficking. The charities will receive 55% of the donations that are left after covering the film's expenses.

We will also have special packages for community & campus screenings of which 55% earnings will go towards the charities, too. (We are looking for the right charities at the moment).

We, the filmmakers involved, need $12500 to make the movie. This is obviously a minimal budget.

I know that most of you think I’m crazy to even imagine making a movie on such a shoestring budget. I agree with you. It is crazy but sometimes in life people need to be crazy and this is my time to be a little crazy.  Not perfect, but crazy.

So this is how I want to make “Anna and Modern Day Slavery” on $12500 budget:

-    Crew & cast are going to work on minimal pay, if any. They’ve all agreed to that.

-    Minimal crew members.

-    Only 9 shooting days.

- We are going to use my super new & fancy HD camera. I also have a lot of other equipment such as filters & tripods and can always connect ipad to the camera to see what the frame looks like.

-    The locations we are going to use are free. Besides we have minimal number of locations.

- We have a wonderful composer Dr. Jan Broberg Carter who agreed to write the score free of charge. I have worked with her before on a short movie and she is top notch.

-    We will have extras for free.

-    We are only going to work with the natural light so don’t have to spend money on the light and the transport & we can save huge amount of time shooting.

-    Everything is going to be prepared in advance during pre-production such as: shot list, production design, costumes etc. This is my area of expertise.

-    Art director Rafal Debowski (we worked together on the previous movie) has agreed to work on the movie. He is like a wizard and can turn anything into artwork.

-    We’re going to get a lot of help from friends & family members who won’t charge us for help.

Why don’t you join us on this crazy and exciting ride and help us make the world a better place?
