March 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Crown Paints has appointed Jim Sweeney to the newly-created role of National Construction Manager.

Focusing on both new-build and refurbishment projects, Jim will be working in collaboration with design and build contractors - as well as facilities managers and multi-site property professionals - to meet best practice objectives in the specification of paint.

He will be supported by initiatives such as Crown Paints’ carbon tracker - which calculates the CO2 footprint of every product from the UK manufacturer - to offer advice on the correct and sustainable choice of Crown Paints products – particularly high performance finishes such as Crown Trade’s antimicrobial and flame resistant systems, as well as Sadolin woodcare and Sandtex exterior products.

With a career spanning almost 40 years at Crown Paints, Jim brings a wealth of experience to the role.

He previously held the position of Regional Sales Manager – covering the North West and Midlands area.

Jim, an active member of Constructing Excellence in the Midlands, said: “I’m delighted to be appointed to this new role.

“We felt there was a need for a direct link between ourselves and construction contractors and property professionals, where they can access information on our portfolio of products and receive assistance on the specifications, to ensure they achieve a fit for purpose system, which meets sustainability goals.”
