By: Alina Schmidt Edge of a Dream is the story of Rija, a young wife and mother who with her husband and young child is forced to flee Sarajevo, a city under siege at the height of the Bosnian war. They arrive in America with few possessions and no money. Months later, Rija's husband, Josef disappears without a word leaving her to survive on her own. In search of stability she accepts lowly work while dreaming of a home and a career. When Josef reappears with promises to change his ways, Rija allows him back in her life. But Josef’s taste for life on the edge brings trouble with the law. And he agrees to inform on the local Russian mob boss to avoid jail time. Time spent as a career coach allowed Lee to work closely with New Americans. Her experiences with this diverse group provided an understanding of the obstacles newcomers must overcome in adapting to our way of life. . Experienced in writing and creating audio-visual and other promotional materials, Lee produced two documentaries, Get Your Rhyme On and Honoring Those Who Served, featuring Tim O'Brien.
