Follow on Google News | Florida State Law Enforcement Agencies to sign ESGR SOS CommitmentThe Florida State Law Enforcement Agencies scheduled to Simultaneously Sign an Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Statement of Support (SOS) pledging their annual commitment to the Guard and Reserve statewide.
By: J Dicks At the ceremony Judge Holder announced that State Law enforcement officials and members of the Florida SLECA will be participating in an annual pledge of support for the states Guard and Reserve. SLECA and state law enforcement agencies understand the importance of these vital military components in the state of Florida. ESGR is anticipating 100 percent participation from all of Florida’s State Law Enforcement Agencies. The SOS signing will occur in numerous State Law Enforcement Agency office/facility in Florida at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012. State and local government officials, civic, business, and military leaders will also be in attendance. A large turnout is anticipated across the state in a variety of “Strategic sites” that have been designated for the event. Our Strategic sites will be located in Pensacola, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, as well as Tallahassee. The Honorable Judge Holder, Chairman of the Florida ESGR, believes this will be a great event across the state and invites everyone to become involved in honoring the National Guard and Reserve and invites businesses and organizations to come out and join the State Law Enforcement Agencies and execute a SOS for their Companies. He said, “Our nation must remember that we all have a responsibility to assist those volunteering to serve this great nation. These brave men and women of the National Guard and Reserve, and their families, are sacrificing for all of us and deserve our support. This event has a significant double meaning, since the men and women of Florida’s law enforcement agencies who are offering their support are the very people who keep us secure at home. So the event scheduled for May 17th will also honor our local first responders, many of them members of the Guard and Reserve forces. I urge everyone across the state to come out and get involved in the day’s special activities.” ESGR is a Department of Defense organization and its committee members volunteer their time in support of the men and women of the Guard and Reserve, their families and employers. As the 1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions within America’s borders as well as on the most dangerous battlefields around the world, ESGR will continue to be the resource for the employers of our citizen warriors.
