March 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Bleau Royale sent a letter to Spike Lee via her Twitter account earlier today expressing her distaste of his retweet on Twitter of what was thought to be the address of Trayvon Martin's admitted killer George Zimmerman.  Martin was shot and killed February 26, 2012 by Zimmerman who claims self-defense and has not been arrested.

Spike Lee has reached an agreement with the Florida couple forced to flee their home after the film director retweeted their home address and they fled to a hotel to avoid problems associated with the shooting of Trayvon Martin, it was announced Thursday.

“The McClains’ claim is fully resolved,” Matt Morgan, their attorney, said in an email. “Mr. Lee personally called them to give a very heartfelt apology. Further, he agreed to compensate them for their loss and the disruption to their lives.

“The McClains were very moved by Mr. Lee's apology,” Morgan said. “They would like the Lee family to be left in peace,” Morgan said.

Below is the letter Bleau Royale sent to Spike Lee from her Twitter account earlier this morning:

#tweetfail @SpikeLee Sigh....Mistake my yellow black ass. Anger and desperately wanting to see justice prevailed in the Trayvon Martin case, got the best of you on this one. You aren’t responsible for the initial broadcast of the McClain's address, which is available through public record, but you are responsible for your own actions and contribution of re-tweeting it. Being a celebrity you are very aware of the media and how many things that come out whether through social media or news paper sometimes gives little to no truth at all. This being a prime example. I am shocked that you jumped on the band wagon of seeking the improper justice of George Zimmerman by re-tweeting what was "assumed" to be his address, thus putting innocent people in harm’s way. I am not defending George Zimmerman in any way, STRONGLY agreeing that he should be behind bars until a jury decides his fate, and I’m outraged that he has not even been arrested.

I would like to see justice be upheld as well, but not at the expense of more innocent lives being taken away or harmed. You are supposed to lead by a positive example in obtaining civil rights. Not setting over and undertones promoting more violence. What would have happened if they were killed? No one is perfect, and we all have short comings from time to time no matter what our status is. You are human just like everyone else. I understand your anger, but because of who you are, a tweeted apology was alright for the public to see, but not good enough. It’s not unusual but, I seriously doubt the McClain’s are following you on Twitter to see it. This elderly couple deserves a more formal, personal, and sincere apology for your involvement that could have caused their lives to be put in grave danger.

You should also strongly consider following a sincere apology with providing financial assistance to this couple for hotel expenses since your "mistake" was a contributing factor for them having to temporarily relocate to safety. This is the price you pay when it's revealed that someone of your stature was involved in something so ignorant but very serious. To the person who initially started this whole thing....................$@#&!@$%!!!!! Ignorant imbecile, is my first thought. My second is that you owe the McClain’s an apology as well for initiating the first tweet. My third is, do not allow a lack of intelligence, or anger drive you to eye for an eye. No one ever wins a violent war.
