PRLog - April 2, 2012 - LOS ANGELESE, Calif. -- Two new books by attorney, patient advocate and three-time cancer survivor Susan Wilking Horan serve as essential guides for anyone looking for supportive, well-researched, straightforward information on preventing, treating and surviving cancer.
The Single Source Cancer Course
The Single Source Cancer Course: The layperson’s guide to preventing, treating and surviving cancer are available on Amazon.com in two volumes, Volume 1: Prevention and Volume 2: Treatment and Survival, and are now available for Kindle.
Susan has used her personal experience to guide and counsel friends, family and fellow patients through the arduous journey from cancer patient to cancer survivor. She is known for sharing “all the things you need to know that no one wants to tell you” when it comes to cancer. After numerous requests, she has moved these discussions from living rooms and hospital wards to the pages of her books. She hopes readers will join her in the virtual “living room” of her book in which she gently guides the reader through the entire cancer process in a non-threatening, comfortable and supportive environment.
Susan Wilking Horan has been an author, attorney and an advocate for patient rights for the past twenty years. In addition to degrees in psychology and law, she is a survivor of three different cancers over the last decade and a half including colon cancer, skin cancer and breast cancer. A firm believer in the adage, “experience is the best teacher,” Ms. Horan refers to herself as an ordinary person who writes for the benefit of other ordinary people. She is currently living cancer free.
