Celebrating NOROOZ - Persian New Year & Helping the Needy

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 29, 2012 - Please join in our efforts to raise 2,000 lbs of food to be donated to needy families in Orange County. Demand is high at many food pantries across Orange County. More families than ever are seeking assistance during these tough economic times.

We have organized a FOOD DRIVE on Sunday, April 1st, 2012 at Mason Park in Irvine,
California. Iranian organizations have been part of the Orange County community for more than 30 years. We have a long tradition of involvement with local charities and food banks. This year, we are coming together to help the “South County Outreach” food bank in Orange County.

The Food Drive coincides with the Persian New Year Annual Picnic at Mason Park and will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at NIPOC booth near the park entry. We ask each and every Persian family attending the picnic to bring canned food and/or non-perishable food items to donate. If you cannot attend, you can make a donation on-line at www.nipoc.org.
