Sharon Hill to Serve as 2012-2013 Region Advisor for Toastmasters International

March 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Chapel Hill, NC: Toastmasters International has named Certified Etiquette Trainer, Sharon Hill the 2012-2013 Region Advisor for Region 7, which includes the east coast states from Pennsylvania to North Carolina.

Hill assumed her seat March 1, 2012; there are 8 districts in her region. As Region Advisor, she will provide guidance as she helps the districts increase marketing capacity to build membership and new clubs.

The role of the Region Advisor is key for club development and growth by supporting the local leadership in operations and marketing. By mentoring future district leaders, Region Advisors help ensure the continuation of Toastmasters for years to come.

About Toastmasters International:
Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization where members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 13,000 clubs where they give presentations and then are peer-evaluated. A typical group has 20 to 40 members who meet weekly, biweekly or monthly, meetings last 60–90 minutes.  
There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success.
