The Warrior House® Program has been managed for the past five years by Hope For The Warriors®.
Warrior House® has been instrumental in supporting wounded service members and their families and Gold Star Families. Families had access to the homes when their service members were medevac’d to Camp Lejeune. Wounded service members also used the homes when returning to the base for Homecomings, Memorial Services, or on orders while they waited for permanent handicap-accessible housing. The Warrior House® was just one key component of the support given to commands by Hope For The Warriors®. “The Warrior House® Program united an entire community—military, civilian and nonprofits alike,” Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors® President said. “The Warrior House® Program was more than just property management. Hope For The Warriors® and the community embraced the guests at the homes at their most fragile time, restoring hope and stability.” The Warrior House® Grand Opening and the first homecoming of then 2nd Lt. Andrew Kinard, USMC, was highlighted on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams in his ongoing segment, What Works. The news report originally aired on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 and highlights the Warrior House® and a wheelchair and van donation through the Hope For The Warriors® A Warrior’s Wish® Program. The company received nationwide recognition for the Warrior House® Program.
