Are You Giving Yourself an Easy Out That’s Affecting Your Bottom line?

Sometimes, going easier on the doubt, criticism, and the bent to enormously drive yourself may be a good thing, but when you go easy on yourself in vital areas that count, it could make the difference of whether your business is growing or not.

March 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Most often than not you might be sabotaging yourself and not even know it.  For example, one of my friends recently read my book Step It Up Or Get Out of the Way, and realized that she was going way too easy on herself in her business, by making excuses for not stepping up and really making her business happen.  She knew that in the long run, this attitude was only going to hurt her chance for accomplishment, and she didn’t want to spoil her business because of going too easy on herself.
At times going easier on the doubt, criticism, and the bent to enormously drive yourself may be a good thing, but when you go easy on yourself in vital areas that count, it could make the difference of whether your business is growing or not.
Listed are some common areas that people go too easy on themselves in business:

1-Not doing the most significant things needed to put money in the bank.  Instead they fuss with websites, copy, names, emails, etc instead of making those all-important sales calls.

2-They experience from technology phobia—they don’t try things like webinars, tele-seminars, making apps for their company, etc. because of their dread of technology.

3-Not looking at their financial numbers and what they are really saying.  Or they may be looking at the numbers but evade making the needed changes necessary.

4-Talking about doing something to move their business forward for over six months but still  make no movement forward.  A lot of people talk about what they are going to do … then you meet them again several months later and they say, “I am going to do …” and they do the exact similar thing you heard before.  Don’t be one of those people.

If you go easy on yourself in relation to the vital factors in business, in the long run you will have difficulty when it comes to stepping it up.  Work to attain the tasks that look hard to you as they come. Who knows, they may not be as frightening as they originally seemed. Be in the work now and take pleasure in the results that come from your efforts.
