The expo will also feature a drum competition open to all levels of skilled drummers as apart of the "Icon Music Awards: Drum Edition" with celebrity judges. Confirmed expo participants include professionals from Interscope Records, RCA Records, BET Networks, SESAC, BMI, EMI Music, Peermusic, Screen Actors Guild, Writer's Guild, and more to be announced. Musicians, songwriters, gear heads, music producers, film and TV producers, directors and videographers are encouraged to attend. The expo's Icon Music Awards: Drum Edition (IMA) will be apart of an on-going effort to positively benefit musicians by providing a platform to showcase their talent and grit in front of industry professionals. The competition is open to skilled drummers of all ages and styles. Each contestant will play in front of a live audience and celebrity judges. The panel of judges will crown the winner as the 2012 Drum Icon with a grand prize that includes $1,000 in cash, and an endorsement from Soultone Cymbals.
