PRLog - March 29, 2012 - ROCKLIN, Calif. -- Thrill seeking athletes will soon have another option to satisfy their appetite for punishment and adventure. Mud Factor hardcore 5K Obstacle Challenge (http://www.MudFactor.com)
Mud Factors’ mission is to host the most creative, energetic mud run experience at unique festival settings throughout the U.S. Participants can expect an endorphin releasing full fitness workout, leveraging agility, stamina, and strength against punishing mud bogs, daring vertical water slide drops, demanding ropes courses, and ridiculous obstacle challenges. The action packed day includes live music, DJ’s, food, beer, mud, and camaraderie.
“Being in the Action Sports industry ourselves, we’ve participated in a few of the popular adventure races like Warrior Dash, Spartan Race, and Tough Mudder, and we were immediately drawn in by the fun factor at these events,” says Mud Factor creator and former pro motocross rider Scott Davis. “Everyone left worked over, but with a huge smile on their face. We have years of experience creating the most challenging courses at one of the top Motocross facilities in the nation, and we’ll use that experience to push the boundaries of the obstacle racing genre, and put smiles on peoples faces.”
Mud Factor’s inaugural event is scheduled for Saturday, April 21st at the legendary Glen Helen Raceway in Southern CA, followed by a Northern CA, May 19th date at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma. Events are also planned in 14 other states throughout 2012. While event sites consist mainly of top notch motocross facilities, Mud Factor will also tackle major ski resorts in New York and Lake Tahoe, a popular pumpkin patch ranch in Nebraska, and other appropriate facilities that compliment the event mission.
Mud Factor would like to acknowledge Armed Forces Day and honor our military men and women by extending an open invitation to compete in our inaugural CA events free of charge. We encourage active military members in all branches of the armed forces, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and the National Guard, to register and represent their respective agencies in a friendly but competitive nature.
Mud Factor is open to runners 18 years of age and older, and group participation is encouraged. Advanced registration for all participants is required at http://www.MudFactor.com. All Mud Factor hardcore 5K mud run participants will receive a Mud Factor t-shirt and bandanna, and those that complete the event will proudly earn a collectible mud run finishers medal and an ice cold beer (21+).
