The fair will feature numerous RHS and other award-winning plant specialists and nurseries from near and far, in the inspiring surroundings of the Abbey. The plants on sale will be priced realistically and include some varieties that are not readily available at more commercial retailers. There is also the added bonus of having expert plants men and women on hand to answer queries and advise you how best to tend your new purchases.
Entry to the sale is £4 (under 16’s are free) and includes entry to the Abbey’s walled garden which features the world’s only fruit tree maze, and a magnificently restored Glasshouse. Refreshments will be on sale in the Glasshouse and parking at the fair is complimentary.
Flower Power Fairs are in their 5th year and are the result of Judy Popler’s life-long passion for plants and gardens. Sixteen fairs are to be held this season at a variety of locations in the North of England, which are all beautiful, inspiring settings.
