   WHY:   Fundraising event that recognizes individuals and organizations that advance equality for all Texans
   ATTIRE:   Western chic, including cowboy and cowgirl hats, buckles and boots
   HOW MUCH?:   Individual tickets are $75.00 and host committee tickets are $125.00 per person; corporate sponsorship opportunities range from $1,000 to $10,000

   A truly Texan event, the Equality Texas Ally Awards attendees will be dustin’ off their cowboy and cowgirl boots, polishin’ their belt buckles and donnin’ 10-gallon hats for an evening of live entertainment, guest celebrity appearances, a hosted bar, and tasty desserts, all Texas style!  The highly visible, inclusive event is expected to attract over 200 influential individuals and business leaders from both the LGBT and allied communities.  

   Tickets sales to the Equality Texas Ally Awards benefit the advocacy work of Equality Texas (http://www.EqualityTexas.org), which advocates and lobbies for the elimination of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.  All underwriting event sponsorships are fully tax-deductible and support the public education work of the Equality Texas Foundation (http://www.equalitytexas.org/content.aspx?id=425), which strives to educate and engage the public about policies and their effect on Texans of all sexual orientations and gender identities/expressions.  Together, the two groups are the largest civil rights organizations in the state dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.
